Algeria’s Les Fennecs started their African Cup of Nations campaign with a 2-0 win over the Harambee Stars of Kenya at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo. Meanwhile, the Teranga Lions beat the Taifa Stars of Tanzania by two goals to nil, while Keimune’s own goal earned the Atlas Lions of Morocco a slim win over the Brave Warriors of Namibia.

Colombia, Yerry Mina saved the day again. The Cafeteros beat Senegal today with a lone goal by their center back to advance to the Round of 16 from the first place of Group G. Senegal missed their spot in the knock-out stage due to the more yellow cards received than Japan - which had exactly the same points, goal difference, and goals scored as the Africans.

The long-awaited day finally came for Poland and Senegal, as they squared off today in Moscow for their World Cup 2018 debut.
