Gülesin scored an impressive 36 Serie A goals for the Rosanero and the Biancocelesti between 1950 to 1953. However, that record has been broken by Calhanoglu over a six-year period – twice the time Gülesin took. Calhanoglu has proved priceless for Inter since signing from rivals Milan on a free transfer.

Milan, Turin and Rome are expected to fill three of the five slots for Euro 2032, but it will a while for the other cities' projects to take shape.

As widely expected, UEFA announced that Italy and Turkey will host Euro 2032 together, marking the return of a major event to the Peninsula since the 1990 World Cup. Federal president Gabriele Gravina rejoiced: “It’s a historic event for us. We had been chasing it. Forty-two years is the right time."

Italy and Turkey will be formalized as the joint Euro 2032 hosts shortly. Evelina Christillin, who’s a UEFA executive and sits on the FIFA board, announced: “There won’t be any surprises tomorrow. The competition will take palce in Italy and Turkey. It’s a fait accompli."

Italy was awarded the joint organization of the 2032 European Championship along with Turkey, but it had the chance to host the 2030 World Cup too.

Italy and Turkey are set to be formally awarded the organization of the 2032 European Championship next Tuesday. The two federations officialized their joint bid back on July 28th. UEFA announced to have received the project on Wednesday. It will be assessed by the Executive Committee.

Montella has already been contacted by Turkey in view of his two-season spell at Demirspor, and given his familiarity to the language and the culture.
