Another dramatic and tense weekend in Serie A is over and has given us some fascinating results.

As in the previous round, the biggest surprise of Matchday 11 involved the 36-time Scudetto winners Juventus, who suffered their fourth defeat of the season with a 2-1 loss to Verona. Napoli and Milan, on the other hand, continue their remarkable starts to the season, as they both defeated their respective opponents over the weekend to remain unbeaten.

Venezia are the lowest scoring team in Serie A this season with eight goals, but the newly promoted side compensate for their lack of goalscoring prowess with a respectable defensive record.

It took 11 games for Genoa to finally register their first clean sheet of the season. Left-back Domenico Criscito was part of the backline that kept things tight at the back and earned a place on the list.

The 34-year-old veteran neither scored nor assisted, but he was a real rock in Genoa’s backline and put in some impressive numbers. Against Venezia, Criscito won 8 duels, succeeded in 3 out of 4 tackle attempts and made a remarkable 13 ball recoveries.

Fiorentina have started the season in good form and are currently level on points with sixth-placed Lazio after 11 games. One player they can rely on is Dusan Vlahovic, and the Serbian striker keeps delivering top level performances.

Against Spezia, Vlahovic netted his first hat-trick of the season at an xG of 1.16. The Fiorentina striker has now scored 8 goals and is second on the Serie A scoring charts.
