The Cult of Calcio Podcast Ep. 3: Our Early Memories of Maradona

In the third episode of The Cult of Calcio’s podcast, we were planning to make a preview of this weekend’s Serie A matchday. But since the whole world of football was shocked by the news of Diego Maradona’s passing, we decided to use this time to try to honor him as genuinely as we could – by simply sharing our childhood memories associated with The Greatest of All.

Live today from our “virtual” studio we had the original trio that founded The Cult of Calcio three years and a half ago – Matteo Carnevale, Diego Ottaviano, and Paolo Bozzelli.

If you like what you see, and even if you don’t, please let us know in the comments section of the video. You might help us spotting some of the mistakes we made – and we already captured one, as the teammate Maradona spoke to before his incredible free-kick against Juventus was Eraldo Pecci (and not Salvatore Bagni as we mentioned in the video…)

We hope you’ll forgive us, but if we were lucky enough to see Maradona play live, it means we have reached a certain age and memory sometimes fail us…
