Theo Hernandez Proud to Lead Milan as Vice-Captain

Milan left-back Theo Hernandez has established himself as one of the world’s best in his position since arriving from Real Madrid few seasons ago. The 26-year-old leads by example in the Rossoneri camp, having been handed the responsibility of vice-captain, second-in-command to captain Davide Calabria.

Speaking to Telefoot (via Calciomercato) in an exclusive, the energetic fullback delved into his role at Milan.

“I am very happy to be here, to work every day to make history. I’m the vice-captain and I’m very proud to be a leader. I have to continue like this and work every day to continue as I am doing.”

Hernandez signed for the Rossoneri back in 2019 from Los Blancos, and has gradually risen through the club’s ranks to become an indispensable member of Stefano Pioli’s squad. With one Serie A title already added to his list of accolades back in 2021/22, he continues to play a pivotal role on the left flank as the club’s only pure left-back.
