Three Real Madrid Players Who Should Move To Serie A This Summer

Following his incredibly successful first managerial stint, Zinedine Zidane’s second tenure at the white castle ended on a relatively disappointing note. Although the Frenchman managed to deliver La Liga title in the previous campaign, it was a far cry from his earlier achievements at the club, when he led Los Merengues towards three successive Champions League titles. Carlo Ancelotti is now set to try his luck with another spell in the Spanish capital himself. Whilst the Italian’s return could encourage some members of the old guard to remain at Real Madrid, he still needs to shorten his large squad, and some Serie A clubs could give him a helping hand in this task.

Sergio Ramos (Center Back)

After 16 long years at the club, the legendary defender bid an emotional farewell for his beloved club. The defender couldn’t agree with the management on a contract renewal, and will now explore the free market.

Despite some injury setbacks this year, the Spaniard remains one of the best players in his position, and with his charismatic presence and genuine leadership skills, he would be an added value for any team in the world.

Whilst Paris Saint Germain could once again blow everyone else in the race, Serie A clubs shouldn’t give up so easily, and need to try hard to sign the Real Madrid legend.

With José Mourinho taking charge at Roma starting next season, a reunion with his old manager has been mentioned on the 35-year-old’s cards.

After the retirements of Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi, the Giallorossi have been in dire need for true locker-room leaders, and thus, the new American owners have an opportunity to prove that they mean business with what be a major coup.

Preferable Destination: Roma (Free Transfer)

Miguel Gutierrez (Left-Back)

At the tender age of 19, the Spaniard is one of the most highly-rated youngsters at the club, and has been developing within its youth sector since 2011.

However, With Ferland Mendy cementing himself as the main starter at left-back, and Marcelo opting to remain as captain for his final contractual year, the young fullback will have so little space with the first team.

Therefore, Miguel could be set to play another seasons with RM Castilla (Madrid’s reserve team), or try his his luck somewhere else – mostly likely on a loan deal.

For their part, Napoli absolutely need to revamp their left-back department, and betting on a young player could prove to be worth the risk – especially when one considers the exploits of Achraf Hakimi and Theo Hernandez who took Serie A by storm after being shown the door at Real Madrid.

Preferable Destination: Napoli (Loan with option to buy)

Brahim Diaz (Attacking Midfielder)

According to the latest reports, Milan are negotiating with the Spanish giants for three of their players – Brahim Diaz. Alvaro Odriozola and Dani Ceballos.

Whilst Ceballos and Odriozola would be nice additions to the squad, it’s the permanent signature of Diaz that the Rossoneri are craving for.

The young Spaniard spent the last year on loan at San Siro, and whilst he did struggle during the earlier stage of the season, he cemented himself a starting role by the end of the campaign, and proved his worth on several occasions – including the spectacular win over Juventus.

Following the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu towards Inter, the Real Madrid youngster must remain in Serie A as Milan desperately need to maintain their remaining options for the number 10  role , whilst the player would resume his development under Stefano Pioli’s watch.

Preferable Destination: Milan (Permanent transfer)
