The usual suspects continued their assault on Serie A. The top-five of Milan, Inter, Roma, Juventus, and Napoli registered wins against their rivals. Lazio moved into the top-six, defeating Atalanta 1-3 in Bergamo to earn their placement.
There were only two draws in Round 20. Torino held Fiorentina to a 1-1 result, while Sassuolo came from behind to take home a point. The Neroverdi scored a 94th-minute goal to make it 1-1, while Torino required two sending offs before earning their result in the 88th minute.

Lennart Czyborra vs. Crotone
Genoa’s march away from the relegation zone continued. The Griffins reigned supreme 0-3 in the six-point affair on the road. Henrikh Mkhitaryan vs. Verona
With only four points separating five teams, Roma solidified their standings in the Serie A table. The Giallorossi scored freely against Verona with Borja Mayoral giving a good account of himself in the absence of Edin Dzeko. However, it was the Armenian attacker who again got on the scoreboard with a stunner in an empty net. Mayoral rounded Marco Silvestri in the Verona goal but had his angles cut out by the returning defenders. The Spaniard passed it to Mkhitaryan, who took his chance from out of the box to efficiently end the move.
Adam Marusic vs. Atalanta
Lazio reaffirmed their UEFA Champions League qualification credentials with an impressive 1-3 away win in Bergamo. Simone Inzaghi’s men were up for the challenge and put the tired Atalanta side to the sword. Adam Marusic’s strike for the Romans will be remembered as he gave them the perfect start in the third minute. Receiving the ball from Stefan Radu, his curler from 35-yards caught Pierluigi Gollini in disarray and foretold the incoming onslaught.
Franck Ribery vs. Torino
What do you do when you go a man down? You produce the best moment of the game. This was the takeaway from Fiorentina’s trip to Turin. Torino had a man’s advantage and could not stop the beautiful linkup play between Giacomo Bonaventura and Franck Ribery. The Bayern Munich legend started and then put the finishing touch in the move with a quick interplay with Bonaventura.
Elif Elmas vs. Parma
Parma came into the fixture with the same goal difference as Napoli but with a negative sign in front. They were lucky not to concede earlier, and the result would have been worse had the Partenopei been more efficient. In the end, they required moment of individual brilliance from Elif Elmas to break the deadlock. He dribbled past three defenders before taking a shot, hitting the back of the net after it seemed he had run into a wall of obstacles. Matteo Politano would double their lead, but it will be the young North Macedonian’s effort that will grace the highlight reels.
