Top Five 2023 Juventus Transfer Targets This Summer

With the opening of the 2023 summer transfer window fast approaching for Serie A clubs on July 1, we go through the top five Juventus transfer targets they could be looking at to build for the 2023/24 campaign.

Juventus’ points deduction was eventually confirmed towards the tail end of last season which saw them drop down to seventh-place. That should, in theory, secure Europa Conference League football next season but latest reports believe the club may offer to sit out of the competition to try and settle the ongoing legal issues they have with UEFA.

Despite the club’s future up in the air following the Plusvalenze case, the Old Lady will still be keen on improving their squad and have already tied down key midfielder Adrien Rabiot to a new contract, whilst Timothy Weah is on the cusp of completing a move to Turin. Below we take you through the top five 2023 Juventus transfer targets this summer.

Top Five 2023 Juventus Transfer Targets

5. Yunus Musah (Valencia)

Many clubs have been interested in securing the USA international’s services and Juventus are set to rival Milan to acquire his services. Interest in the 20-year-old has stemmed from an impressive World Cup campaign last winter, whilst Musah has also performed well for Valencia.

TuttoJuve have reported that Juve are interested in the player but the thought is that the Spanish outfit would require a fee out of the Old Lady’s price range. Therefore, Milan appear to be leading the chase to sign the midfielder as they look to continue to improve their midfield due to the imminent departure of Sandro Tonali.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri are currently in talks to secure a deal for Musah with a fee of around €17 million plus add-ons being discussed.

4. Pierre Kalulu (Milan)

According to journalist Pietro Snicks, Juve could be in the running to sign Milan defender Pierre Kalulu. That is because the Rossoneri want to sign USA midfielder Weston McKennie and thoughts are that the Bianconeri want Kalulu in exchange. However, the Turin club would also have to pay between €15-20 million, plus McKennie in order to acquire the Frenchman.

Kalulu has developed well since his move from Lyon to the San Siro in 2020 and managed to make 28 Serie A appearances during their 2021/22 title-winning campaign, starting 21 of those matches. The 23-year-old went on to make 34 appearances in the league last season and could add speed to the Juventus defense if he were to join.

3. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio)

Rumours surrounding the Serbia international’s future appear to crop up every summer and yet Milinkovic-Savic remains at Lazio. Will this be the transfer window where he finally leaves the Italian capital?

Juventus have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old but now that Rabiot has agreed to a one-year extension to remain with the Bianconeri, their immediate interest for Milinkovic-Savic has cooled for the time being. With his contract expiring next summer and there being no talks of a new deal to stay with the Biancocelesti, Lazio could decide to cash in on their star midfielder this summer.

However, as reported by La Repubblica, quoted by Tuttomercatoweb, interest in the Serbian is low across Europe. That is likely due to the €40 million fee that Lazio would require and there are some hopes that Milinkovic-Savic may renew his contract.

Latest news, nonetheless, suggest that Lazio have reduced their asking price for Milinkovic-Savic and, according to Tuttomercatoweb, he could be available for a fee of €30 million. The Bianconeri could see a move as viable if they are to offload the likes of McKennie and Denis Zakaria.

2. Wilfried Singo (Torino)

It is believed that Juventus are in the market to recruit additional defenders this summer and, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, they are also targeting Torino defender Wilfried Singo. The Ivory Coast international has been used at right wing-back for the Granata and Juve need extra additions in that position, especially with Juan Cuadrado leaving the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.

According to La Stampa, via Tuttomercatoweb, Singo’s agent has reached out to Juve to see how serious they are about signing the defender. With the 22-year-old’s current deal expiring next summer and it not looking likely he will sign a new deal, Torino could decide to sell him now to acquire a fee of around €13-15 million.

1. Wilfried Gnonto (Leeds United)

Talented youngster Wilfried Gnonto has been linked with a move away from England and interest in his services are thought to be high, especially due to Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League. La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Juventus and Inter want to bring the Italy international to Serie A.

There has been talk about the departure of Federico Chiesa this summer and La Gazzetta dello Sport have also claimed that, due to a strained relationship between the player and head coach Massimiliano Allegri, the 25-year-old could leave the club. With a host of Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United rumoured to be interested in Chiesa, the Old Lady could target Gnonto as a replacement.

It is thought that a fee of around €15-20 million could be enough to prize Gnonto away from Elland Road, whilst Everton are also interested in his signature, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio. The 19-year-old has already earned 11 caps for Italy after being called up to the squad by Roberto Mancini for the first time in May of last year.
