The scintillating start of Atalanta hasn’t gone unnoticed by the football elite. Two of their brightest prospects, Giorgio Scalvini and Caleb Okoli, are beginning to draw the attention of Italian and foreign powerhouses.
As per La Repubblica, Chelsea, Manchester City, Roma, Juventus, and Inter are attentively tracking the growth of the 18-year-old. He broke out last season and displayed the ability to play either as a center-back or as a holding midfielder since he has good technique. The three Serie A sides have had initial inquiries with La Dea, but his valuation is already robust, around €20M.
Scalvini and Okoli have taken advantage of a few injuries and José-Luis Palomino’s suspension to garner regular playing time. The former has appeared six times so far, scoring once, while the latter has featured in eight matches.
According to the publication, Milan are particularly keen on the former Cremonese loanee. Director Paolo Maldini personally scouted him in multiple fixtures and was impressed by his abilities. Atalanta will be under siege in the upcoming transfer market windows. It’ll be up to the new American ownership to either resist or set the price tags to cash in properly.

Both are tremendous youngsters, the first one in particular since he’s crazy young. His ceiling is immense, and he can still be molded considering his versatility. The Bergamaschi invested a lot without many departures in the summer. It will be interesting to see whether they will continue to operate as they have done in the last few years, where they occasionally pulled off major sales to bankroll their other moves, or if they will try to hold onto their gems for longer now.
