Torino to Make Late Run for Inter Target Tessmann

Torino will be aggressive on the transfer market after multiple major departures and will try to hijack the deal arranged between Inter and Venezia for Tanner Tessmann. The two sides elected against a straight swap with Gaetano Oristanio. He has already moved to the Laguna for €4M. The Nerazzurri are believed to have retained a future buy-back option.

According to La Stampa (via Tuttomercatoweb), the Granata will cash in on Ivan Ilic too after partying ways with Alessandro Buongiorno. Zenit St. Petersburg have offered €23M plus €2M add-ons. The player will make €3M annually until 2029.

Torino would be further armed with cash after receiving €35M from Torino for Alessandro Buongiorno and would be ready to lodge a robust bid for Tessmann despite the advanced negotiation with Inter. He’d reunite with coach Paolo Vanoli, who helped him blossom last season. His valuation is €7/8M. The transfer has slowed down a little to decide where he’d go on loan at first. He doesn’t want to go back to Venezia. He’d probably head abroad, perhaps at Everton, if the Nerazzurri held onto their lead.

The Granata, which also lost Ricardo Rodriguez and Koffi Djidji, have signed their few new defender, Saul Coco from Las Palmas.

Our Take on Torino, Tessmann, and Inter

They’ll have to spread the wealth because their squad has a few holes but are unlikely to splash on anybody. Perhaps the USMNT talent will simply join them on loan from the Nerazzurri, leveling up compared to a relegation struggler and starring for a gaffer he’s familiar with.
