Torino to Trigger Release Clause for Inter Loanee Bellanova

Inter loanee Raoul Bellanova might not continue playing for the Nerazzurri next season despite the club inserting an option to buy him in the loan deal with Cagliari. 23-year-old Bellanova developed as a fringe player under Simone Inzaghi, given the strong presence of Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries on the right wing.

The Isolani-owned wing back is now a target for Torino, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. The Granata have reportedly already set up talks with the Sardinians in a bid to beat Inter to signing him permanently. With the Nerazzurri disinterested to take things further, Torino are expected to pay approximately €9M including bonuses for the Milan youth product.

Bellanova appeared 22 times for Inter the past season, registering 657 minutes of playing time across all competitions. With limited chances to play for the first team, the Azzurri U21 international is expected to move to a relatively less high-profile club this summer in order to build his career and perhaps earn a senior Italy call-up by Roberto Mancini.

Bellanova made his Italy U21 debut more than two years ago in a 2-1 victory over Iceland in the 2021 UEFA European U21 Championship qualification.
