Tottenham and Atletico Look to Sarri as New Manager

Maurizio Sarri is the subject of interest from foreign clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid both showing interest in the Lazio manager. The coach has had a shaky relationship with the Biancocelesti hierarchy, which could lead to the exit door at Stadio Olimpico, as reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24).

It relays of the ex-Chelsea coach’s disagreements with president Claudio Lotito and a ‘practically non-existent’ relationship with sporting director Igli Tare. The difference of opinions could mainly be attributed to the unwillingness of the management to support Sarri’s transfer wishes.

Tottenham are prepared to lose Antonio Conte following the Italian tactician’s latest comments, whereas Atletico Madrid could also part ways with Diego Simeone and bring in a new face.

Sarri has a contract valid until the summer of 2025 at Lazio, and a convincing deal would need to be put forth to lure the former Napoli manager. An answer is expected by June.

Lazio are experiencing a good stint under Sarri, most recently thrashing Milan 4-0, in what is touted to be the Bianconelesti‘s best performance under the veteran coach.
