Tottenham and Conte Eye Further Additions from Serie A

After the success of the Dejan Kulusevski deal, Tottenham are ready to shop in Serie A again. Antonio Conte will stay at the helm for at least another season following the comeback that allowed them to qualify for the Champions League. Former Juventus director Fabio Paratici will look to operate in a familiar market.

Ivan Perisic will soon complete his move to the Spurs, which beat Inter and Juventus in the race. He is unlikely to be the only player transferring from Italy to White Hart Lane this summer. According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Lilywhites are among the top contenders to sign Alessandro Bastoni. On the other hand, he has multiple suitors, and Inter intend to get at least €50M.

Tottenham have laid their eyes on a pair of Serie A midfielders too. They will make another attempt for Weston McKennie. Juventus are pondering what to do with him and might accept a rich offer. The Spurs also have Piotr Zielinski on their radar. The Polish international was demoted in the final months of the season. Napoli are open to selling, but coach Luciano Spalletti will have a say in the matter, the transfer market expert adds.

Our Take on Tottenham Tracking Serie A Stars

It makes sense for Conte and Paratici to pursue players they know well. The gaffer revived Kulusevki, who looked lost at Juventus. Zielinski is very skillful and simply paid the price for featuring out of position. McKennie could easily turn out to be another Juventus regret, and they should hold onto him. Bastoni is a stud and probably would suit the Spurs better than other Premier League sides schematically. Among other Serie A contributors, Tottenham were previously reported to be after Torino’s Bremer and Wilfried Singo too, two rock-solid options.
