Tottenham Continue to Snoop Around Inter Star Striker

Lautaro Martinez is happy and wants to stay at Inter, but Tottenham have not ceased pursuing him, as they did in the past. Antonio Conte, who already lured Ivan Perisic, is a big fan of the Argentinian striker.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, Bayern Munich inquired about Harry Kane. The Bavarians would be looking to sign a top-notch striker if Robert Lewandowski departed. Such talks are in their infant stages.

Alejandro Camano, the agent of Lautaro Martinez, spoke with FcInterNews before the Tottenham links resurfaced.

“He had a very good season, both on the pitch and privately. I have no reason to believe there is any chance he leaves. Nobody told us anything of the sort. The truth is that, when somebody scores that much is a competitive league like Serie A, it does not go unnoticed. But he has four more years on his contract. When we extended it, we were not considering a future sale. Still, we know how football works. Everything could change in the span of a day. But this is where things stand at the moment.”

Our Take on Tottenham Targeting Lautaro Martinez

The Spurs surely represent a major transfer market threat to Italian teams. They were beforehand thanks to their superior budget, and even more so after qualifying for the Champions League. Something would probably have to give for Inter if they really pulled off the Romelu Lukaku return, considering they pretty much have Paulo Dybala in the bag.

Lautaro Martinez might indeed be available in the summer, and Tottenham would likely be top of the queue. But surely not as a Kane replacement. He did not leave when they were in much worse shape in the past, and it is tough to imagine he would do it now.
