Tottenham Exec Talks Juventus Deals and His Former Team

Former Juventus director and now Tottenham exec Fabio Paratici commented on Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski’s success in London following their transfers from the Bianconeri. The official shared his thoughts with Sky Sport (via TuttoSport).

“Sometimes players do better in Milan than in Turin. Often the mental element makes them realize that it’s time for a change. They are two top-notch contributors. The Uruguayan midfielder starred in 2 World Cup and 200 games with the Old Lady. When you have been at the same club for a while, motivations dip and other factors can have a role too. Such duo, and Cristian Romero as well, settled in nicely with us, maybe because for our type of football.”

Despite a somewhat turbulent departure, Paratici showed his appreciation for Juventus.

“It’s a great satisfaction to see those who worked with me and helped me a lot progress in their careers and move to other countries with meaningful roles. The Bianconeri have always been a great school.”

Paratici quickly found a home at Tottenham after being ousted by Juventus and soon brought a familiar face on the bench at White Hart Lane. The Spurs have gotten off to a good start after a busy transfer market window. They are undefeated in Premier League, where they sit in 2nd position, one point behind Arsenal and on a par with Manchester City.

“The club has allowed me and Antonio Conte to carry on with our plans and ideals. The coach has given the squad a clear identity. This is an incredible team. It’s so enormous that it’s hard to comprehend from the outside. Having a project and staying the course and building a winning mentality are always hard things to achieve.”
