Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Roma star Nicolò Zaniolo.
According to Corriere Dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Spurs manager Antonio Conte and sporting director Fabio Paratici are both admirers of the 22-year-old winger, who is waiting for a contract renewal from the Giallorossi.
The chances of a January transfer look slim but Tottenham could try to sign him in the summer.
Zaniolo, who is currently valued at €40m according to Transfermarkt, is among the finest talents in Italy. This season, the 22-year-old has made 18 appearances for Roma, scoring twice while providing three assists. Following the Giallorossi’s defeat to Bologna, Jose Mourinho said that Zaniolo should consider playing abroad.
The Italy international is a pretty effective winger and can operate as an attacking midfielder as well. Given his talent, there is no doubt other clubs will be looking to sign him.
Zaniolo would be a decent addition to Tottenham’s squad, especially with Conte as their manager. The only doubt regarding the 22-year-old is his fitness.
