Tottenham are in advanced talks to acquire Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta. The goalkeeper is on his way out after the Bergamaschi brought in Juan Musso from Udinese. Moreover, the Spurs are eyeing Cristian Romero and are negotiating with Bologna for Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Tottenham have reached an agreement with Atalanta on a season-long loan with a €15M option to buy, Sky Sport reports. They would automatically sign him permanently if he reached a quota of appearances in 2021/2022. The Spurs will have the faculty to extend the temporary spell for another campaign by paying €2M next summer. Gollini previously spent time in the Manchester United youth academy and played for one year at Aston Villa in the Championship.
Tottenham have shown interest in Romero, as they are looking to revamp their defense, Football.London informs. However, the Orobici previously turned down a €45M offer for the Argentinian defender from Manchester United. They signaled that they would like him this summer. Fabio Paratici is tracking several options for the role.
On top of doing some business together, Tottenham and Atalanta are battling for the same target as both are pursuing Takehiro Tomiyasu. Bologna director Riccardo Bigon told Sky Sport yesterday: “We have received multiple offers for him, but we do not necessarily need to sell. It is tough for a player to be indifferent when the Premier League comes calling. However, we want to wait for the conditions to be favorable both for him and for us. He will partake in the Olympics, so we are in no rush to close any deal.”
