Tottenham Set to Snap Up Starlet Eyed by Milan and Roma

Alejo Veliz has been linked to Roma and especially Milan in recent days, but Tottenham are on the verge of purchasing from Rosario Central. The Spurs plot to sign him this summer but bring him over in January, letting him play for six more months in Argentina, Tyc Sport informs.

The prodigy has been offered to the Rossoneri, which might add another striker after trimming their roster. They haven’t shown a ton of interest other than gathering intel. Torino have been keeping tabs too.

As was the case with Milan, Veliz was proposed to Roma before Tottenham barged into the fray. The Giallorossi have zeroed in on Marcos Leonardo to address their frontline.

The capital side will try to add a veteran too but will likely have to find new options. Bologna will put up strong resistance if they try to lure Marko Arnautovic, Goal informs. Moreover, Thiago Motta blasted the brass for the shortage of signings so far. They want to keep ahold of their best players given the situation.

The fallback plans are Vangelis Pavlidis, but AZ only wishes to sell him outright, M’Bala Nzola, who has a €15M price tag, and Duvan Zapata, Corriere dello Sport relays (via OneFootball). Some intermediaries dangled the Atalanta center-forward to Roma but the management is lukewarm on him.
