Two European Giants on the Hunt for Roma’s Mourinho

There are sensational reports circulating that Jose Mourinho is being targeted by two top European heavyweights for a move at the end of the season. The Roma manager has been the subject of great speculation pointing towards the exit door in recent weeks; he is yet to clear his intentions in the face of an approaching contract expiry.

FootMercato claims Paris Saint-Germain’s lingering interest in signing in Portuguese veteran to replace Christophe Galtier ahead of the 2023/24 season. Sporting director Luis Campos has reportedly initiated first contacts with Mourinho, although plan A remains Zinedine Zidane.

However, the Parisians aren’t the only ones interested in the ex-Real Madrid manager, as former club Chelsea also ponder a replacement for Graham Potter.

Several Premier League sides have expressed curiosity, but it is the Blues who reportedly have concrete plans for the Special One, who moved to Manchester United first and then Spurs following the end of his love affair with Chelsea in December 2015.

A move to either club cannot entirely be ruled, but one thing is for sure – how things pan out will largely depend on whether Roma can qualify for the Champions League next season.
