Two Touted Young Strikers Not Joining Milan in January

A few strikers have recently been linked to Milan, even though they do not appear to be actively searching for one. In particular, Beto and Lorenzo Lucca were rumored to be options if the Rossoneri ended the loan spell of Pietro Pellegri early. However, their respective teams have shut the door.

Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino told Radio Sportiva: “Beto has had a good impact with Serie A. His characteristics have allowed him to fit in well. We spent €7M to sign him even though he was relatively unknown. He has repaid us nicely so far. It would be improper to make excessive evaluations or get too excited now. His departure is not on the table in January. The Pozzo family never told us to sell anybody in the winter.”

Milan will have to fair until the summer, when they will likely be in the hunt for strikers, also for Lucca. Pisa president Giuseppe Corrado spoke to Radio Rai: “We received a few inquiries for him, from the Rossoneri and foreign teams. We will discuss them in June. He has great potential thanks to his physical and technical skills.”

Coach Luca D’Angelo addressed the starlet too: “Lucca got off to a strong start, scoring six goals in as many games. Then, he had a little too much exposure and lost his lightheartedness, and he had to deal with physical problems. I think he will be ready for our next game on January 15th. The management already informed me that he will stay with us despite the requests.”
