Udinese Set Sights on Milan Flop to Replace Outgoing Beto

After agreeing a lucrative €30 million plus add-ons deal with Everton over Beto’s move to the Premier League, Udinese could turn to Milan outcast Divock Origi to fill the vacancy. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Belgian striker has emerged as one of the potential candidates to take the Portuguese ace’s place at the Dacia Arena.

Beto has been of utmost importance to Udinese over the past couple of years. But with the Friulians unable to find a way out of the lower reaches, the 25-year-old is ready to embark on a new career in England. It’s not like Everton are going from strength to strength in the Premier League. Sean Dyche’s men have lost all three opening league games.

As one of only two sides yet to score in England’s elite competition this term, it’s no wonder the Toffees are desperate to land Beto. It would allow Udinese to focus on Origi, who missed out on Milan’s astonishing 4-1 victory over Torino last night. Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic, and Theo Hernandez sent San Siro into raptures.

But the ex-Liverpool man was nowhere to be seen. Milan would let Origi in the blink of an eye, yet it has proved easier said than done. The out-of-favor forward has turned down several inquiries from Turkey and Saudi Arabia. His reluctance to leave San Siro could be a problem for Udinese.

It could be difficult for Andrea Sottil’s side to convince Origi to continue his faltering career in Udine.
