Union Berlin Table Offer for Inter Wingback Gosens

Inter are just steps away from unlocking the sale of wingback Robin Gosens. The ex-Atalanta star is ready to return home to Germany after dark horses Union Berlin have expressed their intention to sign him on short notice.

As per Sky Sport Deutschland, concrete talks have taken place between Gosens and the Berlin outfit, and a first offer has already been tabled. Personal terms have reportedly been agreed between the two parties for an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy. However, the Nerazzurri’s yes is still pending, as they demand a roof price of €20M from the Irons.

The offer hands the 28-year-old Germany international of the opportunity to play in the Bundesliga for the first time ever in his eight-year senior career. Gosens earned his maiden team call-up with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, the team he moved to as a 17-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia based VfL Rhede.

Gosens wants regular game time, and given the competition at Inter, a move seems to be his best chance at earning a place in Germany’s squad for the European Championships next year.
