Marseille Laid Eyes on Sassuolo Prodigy Giacomo Raspadori

Unnamed Premier League Club Make Offer for Sassuolo Youth Product

Sassuolo’s arsenal of youth talent has warranted them to challenge Italy’s top guns with unrestrained charisma. And highly-rated starlet Giacomo Raspadori is drawing interest from clubs not only in the country, but also from abroad, as club chief Giovanni Carnevali has now confirmed.

As revealed by Carnevali (via Fabrizio Romano), the new suitors on the block for Raspadori are from England. The unnamed Premier League club has been pushing since January for the 22-year-old, according to the executive, but he remains a key player for the Neroverdi.

“We’ve received a proposal from a Premier League club for Giacomo Raspadori – they’re pushing since January but he’s a key player for us.”

Sassuolo have produced some of the brightest talents in Italian football, including recent Juventus signing Manuel Locatelli, who played a key role in the Azzurri’s EURO 2020 triumph. The Bianconeri and the Neroverdi have a concrete relationship based on previous deals, and Carnevali was quick to point out that Raspadori’s potential move to Turin cannot be ruled out.

“Raspadori to Juve? Could be an option – we’d be happy to open talks again after Locatelli deal.”

Raspadori made his Italy debut last year, and already has 7 caps to his name.

The Sassuolo youth product has 30 appearances this season for Sassuolo, notching in 9 goals and 5 assists so far. He has a transfermarkt value of €28m and his contract in Emilia-Romagna expires only in the summer of 2024.
