Unstoppable Milan Forward Sets Personal Record Against Lecce

Things are getting better for Milan following a dismal start under new manager Paulo Fonseca, largely thanks to Christian Pulisic’s scintillating form. The United States captain was on the scoresheet again on Friday evening as the Rossoneri eased past perennial strugglers Lecce 3-0 at Stadio San Siro.

Pulisic impressed in his first season in Serie A last term. However, this could be his year if the early signs are anything to go by. After scoring a superb solo goal in the derby against Inter, the 26-year-old stabbed the ball through Wladimiro Falcone’s legs to seal another comfortable win for Milan.

It was his fifth consecutive goal for club and country, a feat the former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea winger had never achieved before. Since drawing a blank against Torino on the opening Serie A weekend, Pulisic has recorded a goal or an assist in his last six appearances in all competitions, helping Milan get back on track after a slow start.

Taking his scoring exploits from last season into the equation, Pulisic has had 32 goal contributions since swapping Chelsea for Milan in 2023. He has established himself as one of the cornerstones of this team alongside Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao, even though the latter’s recent form has flattered to deceive.

Hernandez joined Pulisic on the scoresheet last night with a delightful finish to open his account in 2024/25 as Milan drew level on points with table-topping Torino after posting their third consecutive league triumph.
