Juventus outcast Arthur Melo is edging closer to moving to Valencia after two sub-par years at the Allianz Stadium. The 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder has struggled in Italy ever since he moved from Barcelona, being deemed as surplus requirements, including this pre-season when he was left out by coach Max Allegri as the team travelled to America for their friendly tour.
According to the latest reports from Tuttosport, offloading Arthur from the club’s ranks will open doors to a potential reinforcement in the same role, with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes the most likely contender to arrive.

The former Blaugrana center-half has suffered relentlessly from injuries throughout his spell, thus missing out on game time. Keeping that in mind, his departure from the club comes as the most viable option for both parties.
Tuttomercatoweb denotes that Arthur has given the green light for a move to Valencia, where Italian legend Gennaro Gattuso awaits his presence. Contacts have already taken place between the manager and the player, with regular playing minutes being promised ahead of the possibility of gaining a spot in Brazil’s roster for the World Cup in Qatar.

A one-season loan deal with a buy option is in the picture, but Los Che would sign him only if Juventus agree to pay atleast half of his €8M net wages. The details of the loan transfer are currently unknown. He has three more years on his Bianconeri contract.
