Valladolid Boss Hints Juventus-Linked Fresneda Will Leave

Juventus are in the race to sign Ivan Fresneda, who’s in the crosshairs of a few clubs. His coach Pacheta stated that it would be hard for Valladolid to keep the youngster (via OneFootball).

“I think he will be sold. I don’t have info about it, though. He’s 18, but he does things as if he’s 30. They wouldn’t be buying today’s version, bur rather what he could become in four years. If I was a club, I wouldn’t have any doubt. If I needed a right-back, I’d obviously target him.”

“If I look at the game against Real Madrid, or any other one, I see a fantastic piece to buy. We are overwhelmed by stats nowadays, and Fresneda fares crazily well there too. All these elements make me doubt we’ll be able to keep him. We’d like to, but I’m aware of the needs of the team.”

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus are keen, but they can’t do anything in the transfer market until January 18th, when their new board of directors will be installed and will ratify their new appointments. Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle are after the youngster as well.

While Valladolid wish for the suitors to activate his €30M release clause, his valuation is currently around €10/15M. Coach Massimiliano Allegri suggested the Bianconeri would stand pat in January after the narrow win over Cremonese.

“I’ve always collaborated with the management. Federico Cherubini and his assistants inform me of whom are following. We don’t need to change just because. For now, our squad is fine as is.”
