Vicenza are reportedly interested in signing Roma teenager Nicola Zalewski.
According to Calciomercato.com, the club’s new sporting director Federico Balzaretti is monitoring the profiles of a few players, including the Polish international. Roma rejected several loan proposals for Zalewski over the summer.
This season, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder has made only three substitute appearances for the Giallorossi.
Vicenza are currently 19th in the Serie B table and Balzaretti will be eager to make some signings during the January transfer window. Zalewski has featured very sporadically for Roma this season and the chances of him getting a good amount of game time look very low.
A January loan move to Vicenza would do well for the 19-year-old in terms of game time and then he could try and challenge for a spot in the Giallorossi XI in 2022/23.
However, there might be a slight chance that Roma may not want to loan him so that they can have options available in case anyone gets injured.
