Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen has sent a love letter to the club fans amid the infamous TikTok videos and controversies. The relationship between the player and the reigning Serie A champions has taken a step back after the player found the videos posted on TikTok insulting, even racist.
Osimhen responded to the Italian side’s reckless decision to post controversial videos on one of the most popular social media by taking down all the images of himself in a Napoli jersey from his social media pages.
The Nigerian ace returned to the scoresheet in a 4-1 thumping of Udinese in midweek but refused to celebrate the goal. He did the same against Lecce yesterday after coming off the bench to seal Partenopei’s impressive 4-0 win at Stadio Via del Mare.
A statement from Napoli failed to offer a direct apology to Osimhen, casting further doubt on the striker’s future at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. However, he holds no grudge against the Partenopei faithful. In fact, he’s enjoying his life in Naples.
