Juventus formally unveiled Dusan Vlahovic today: “First of all, I want to thank Fiorentina and my former teammates, with whom I fought until the last moment, and their directors. I wish good luck to coach Vincenzo Italiano, who helped me a lot, like Cesare Prandelli. Their fans and the city welcomed me exceptionally well and supported me through thick and thin. I tried to give my best to repay them.”
“No.7 does not mean anything to me. I am sure all numbers are important here, but I picked it because it was the closest to 9. I am here to help my teammates, not to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. It is untrue that I will live in his mansion. The attitude makes the difference, and not these secondary expects.”
Vlahovic disclosed why he picked Juventus: “I am proud and thrilled to join this glorious club. There were a lot of rumors about interest from abroad, but it was an easy choice because it is in this team’s DNA to win, fight and never give up. It suits my character. This is the most important side in Italy.”
“My first goal is to get accustomed quickly. There are already several leaders in this squad. Winning is the only thing that matters. Federico Chiesa and I are tight, and I am looking forward to his return. I have not met Paulo Dybala yet, but he is great. It will be up to the coach to decide the starters, but I am ready to play with anybody.”
The Serbian eluded the comparisons to Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé: “I try to craft my own journey. I do not know where it will end up, but I hope to go far. Playing in the Champions League will be a unique emotion.”
