Dusan Vlahovic opened up about how the last year went, the upcoming clash with Benfica, and his Juventus move in an interview with TNT Sports Brasil (via OneFootball).
“2022 could have gone better both personally and collectively. I want more every day. It’s paramount to stay calm and lucid and take it game after game. Serie A just started and it’s long. Anything can happen. We focus on working hard.”
“Benfica are a great team. It will be a tough game in a packed stadium. They always have a nice atmosphere. We will give our 200 percent, then a few details make the difference in matches. We will have to be attentive.”
Vlahovic dished on his debut in the Champions League.
“It’s a truly special competition. Everything is different, from the lead-up to the sensations on the pitch. We all dream to win it, and we hope to play it as much as possible.”
The striker recounted his arrival in Italy and the transfer to Juventus.
“It was tough at first because I’m very attached to my family. Nikola Milenkovic helped me a lot at Fiorentina. I’m thankful to him. He’s been like an older brother to me. We maintain a strong rapport. The move was smooth. I knew some of my colleagues beforehand and felt at home right away. There was a great effort by the whole club to speed up my acclimatization. The veterans supported me a lot, and I befriended many new persons.”
Vlahovic concluded with some remarks on Filip Kostic.
“I’m happy he joined. I started asking him about it when the rumors began circulating, but I didn’t want to bother him too much. Having another Serbian player makes thing easier.”
