Vlahovic Shooting for Juventus Title and Thirty Goals

Dusan Vlahovic has lofty goals for the upcoming season, where Juventus will be eager to return to winning ways after a rough year. The striker spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I have read that the Capocannoniere has never won the Scudetto in the last 10/12 years, but there is a first time for everything. The team objectives come before my personal ones. Conquering titles matter the most, but it would be fine by me if I scored 30 goals in the process. Deciding to move here wasn’t difficult because it’s a glorious club. Its ethos is close to mine: winning mentalitly, working hard and never giving up.”

Vlahovic revealed to have a long-standing affinity for Juventus.

“I used to follow Serie A, which was in its golden age, when I was a kid in Serbia. They were constantly victorious and so they were the most talked-about team. Their squad with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Trezeguet and Fabio Cannavaro impressed me. I will do anything to be part of the Bianconeri’s history.”

The striker has yet to make his pre-season debut due to a lingering groin injury.

“I do not like to look for alibis. The problem affected me for a long time, since before I joined. I fully focused on recuperating this summer. I followed a precise timetable and I will be 100 percent soon.”

Vlahovic dished on his new Juventus teammates Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria.

“They had a great impact. They are champions that have won a lot and have been playing at a high level for a long time. Di Maria is one of the best wingers of the last 20 years. We have to get to know each other but I’m sure it won’t be difficult. Gleison Bremer is the top defender in Serie A.”
