Watford Interested in Signing Roma Outcast, Bid Made

Watford are reportedly interested in signing Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara on loan during the upcoming transfer window.

According to AS Roma Live (via Sport Witness), the Premier League outfit want to rope in the 24-year-old and have made a bid for him. Diawara has only had 145 minutes of action this season so far and the Giallorossi want to sell him.

Watford want to sign the Guinea international on loan with the option to buy. Roma want to set his price at €13-15m while the Hornets value him at €8-10m.

Diawara hasn’t quite been able to establish himself as a starter for the Giallorossi since joining them from Napoli. This season, the 24-year-old has made only four appearances across all competitions, with both of his starts coming in the Conference League.

There is a good chance that the Guinean will not enjoy a healthy amount of game time under Jose Mourinho and a loan move could do well for him. Diawara would receive a lot more minutes at Watford provided he joins the club.
