West Ham and Fulham Eye Talented Juventus Wingback

Two Premier League clubs have emerged as suitors for Juventus wingback Luca Pellegrini, who is second in line behind Alex Sandro in Max Allegri’s choice on the left wing. He has not been able to fully convince the coach to become first choice at the Allianz Stadium yet, fueling reports of a possible exit for the Italy international.

Reports from Calciomercato indicate West Ham United and Fulham are hot in the transfer race for the 23-year-old Roma youth prodigy. The allure of more game time coupled with the opportunity to play in England will undoubtedly be a deciding factor in the youngster’s decision to jump ship.

Both Premier League suitors are looking to add a left-footed winger into their ranks, but Fulham first showed interest in Pellegrini. However, David Moyes will be relatively more eager to improve his flanks after last season’s impressive 7th placed finish.

The class of 1999 is certainly not in Allegri’s plans at the moment, and another loan deal – this time outside Italy – might help him develop into a valuable player in the future. Pellegrini has had two loan stints already in Serie A, at Genoa and Cagliari. His Juventus contract expires in 2025. The Bianconeri are on verge of securing his potential replacement Andrea Cambiaso from Genoa, as Radu Dragusin finally accepted to go the other way, Goal reports.
