Xavi Backs Manchester City to Win Champions League

Xavi Hernandez and his Barcelona side have nothing to play for apart from La Liga, as they stand the chance to win the league title on May 14 when they travel to local rivals RCD Espanyol to play the Catalan derby.

Inter played a key role in eliminating the Blaugrana from the UEFA Champions League, as the Spaniards then found themselves knocked out by Manchester United in the Europa League. Xavi now knows who to back for in the UCL, with his former coach Pep Guardiola leading the line in a bid to eliminate eternal rivals Real Madrid.

“I think Manchester City’s treble is right because they are the best club left with the best manager in the world. The football they play is a mirror we should all be looking into.” (via Calciomercato)

Inter and Bayern Munich escaped the group of death alongside Barcelona, as the Spanish giants were thrust in the second-tier of European football. The Nerazzurri are busy preparing to take on derby rivals Milan in the semi-finals, in what is touted to be one of the greatest spectacles at such a crucial stage of the competition in recently history.
