As Roma propel their advances for free agent Paulo Dybala, Nicolò Zaniolo seems increasingly bound to leave, and Manchester United are the latest team eyeing him. Juventus have been in talks with sporting director Tiago Pinto regarding a move. Still, nothing has materialized so far – mainly due to the distance in valuation between the Giallorossi and interested suitors.
Nonetheless, another suitor from the Premier League has emerged, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Tuttomercatoweb). The arrival of new manager Erik Ten Hag means that the Red Devils could very well take advantage of the Bianconeri’s slow advances that has left the door wide open so far.
On the other hand, despite the interest from Manchester United, Zaniolo is reportedly disinterested in leaving Serie A and Italy at the moment – only boosting Juventus’ chances of signing him. However, the Turin giants will first have to offload Matthijs De Ligt and his wages from the club’s books in order to make space, Bayern Munich close in.
The 23-year-old is far from guaranteed a stay at the capital club given his short-term contract, and among the current suitors, the Red Devils could satisfy Roma’s demands without downsizing their offer as the Bianconeri did.
