Giuntoli was one reason why Napoli succeeded in luring Piotr Zielinski from Udinese back in 2016, and the director is eager to bring him to Turin.

Zielinski Renewal a Breath of Fresh Air in Inflated Transfer Market

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito recently revealed Napoli ace Piotr Zielinski’s intention to stay with the Scudetto winners with a lower salary despite being enticed by a higher offer. A long-linked target to replace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Zielinski has instead decided to stick with the Serie A title holders.

There is no official announcement yet of Zielinski’s contract renewal, but it is all but confirmed that the Polish midfielder is hellbent on staying in Naples. Several lucrative offers were tabled for Zielinski, including a couple of Saudi Arabia, but it seems nothing can buy out the Partenopei spirit engulfed by the midfield ace.

Recent talks between Aurelio De Laurentiis and the player’s agent Bartolomej Bolek indicate a positive outcome, leaving interested clubs in Zielinski like Lazio empty-handed.

Zielinski is now in line to earn just over €2.5M net per season, a massive dampening from his previous €4.5M payroll. He is set to stay in Napoli until June 2026, as a two-year extension awaits to be signed.
