Midfield ace Piotr Zielinski has praised coach Luciano Spalletti for the club’s exploits this season. Napoli are one step away from making history following a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Deutsche Bank Park in the UEFA Champions League last 16 first-leg tie, having never qualified for the quarter-final stage of the continental competition.
Zielinski reserved special words of praise for Spalletti, placing the ex-Roma and Inter manager above other managers he played under in Naples.
“Sarri, Ancelotti, Gattuso and Spalletti are all excellent coaches. But then with coach Luciano we are doing exceptional things. We can take more satisfaction than with others, which did not arrive.” (via LaLazioSiamoNoi)
?⚪️ Kvaratskhelia's development under Spalletti has been phenomenal. Him & Osimhen are spearheading the team to a Scudetto & UCL run!
I believe Kvicha should stay put for a few more seasons! (as long as Napoli remain competitive like this). #ad pic.twitter.com/CCi0rhgONU https://t.co/ZMfZVP4CJF
