Boban Offers Tactical Advice to Roma Coach Mourinho

Former Milan mainstay Zvonimir Boban, who currently works as UEFA’s Chief of Football, has praised Roma for their transfer exploits this season. The Giallorossi have welcomed Paulo Dybala in their roster and are now close to getting Andrea Belotti too. Boban thinks Dybala’s signing is on par with Inter’s very own deal for Romelu Lukaku.

He further went on to praise José Mourinho but offered him a piece of tactical advice (via RomaPress.net).

“I think Roma did a wonderful job with Dybala, on par with Inter signing Lukaku. In my opinion Mourinho should start playing with a 4-3-3 formation: that way he would have more balance and stability in the midfield and he would be able to control the game more easily.”

Boban was taken by surprise by Roma winning the European Conference League.

“UEFA is proud and even a little surprised by how well received the Conference League has been. It was a great success made possible also because of Roma and Mourinho. The way they respected the competition was admirable. The amount of passion they played with in order to make history was extraordinary.”

Roma are unbeaten this new Serie A season. However, they will take on Max Allegri’s now-look Juventus over the weekend in their first big challenge so far.
