The Frenchman had already landed on their radar in the past before he transferred to Tottenham. He departed temporarily again last summer, this time moving to Birmingham. He has struggled to find minutes, appearing only five times in the European Conference League.
Milan will probe whether they could get Lenglet from Barcelona with the same formula. Their favorite option for the role is Jakub Kiwior, but Arsenal don’t want to let him go even though he’s not a starter.
The Rossoneri are also in touch with Villarreal to terminate the loan spell of Matteo Gabbia early, thus bringing him back in the upcoming window.
