Juventus Ready to Open Negotiation to Add Porto Star

Juventus are coming out in the open for Galeno after their quiet pursuit in recent weeks. They’ll have a meeting with his camp to discuss the figures of the possible transfer on Tuesday, Gianluca Di Marzio informs.

The winger wouldn’t come cheap, but the real negotiation is about to start. He posted 16 goals and 12 assists across all competitions in 47 appearances last season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb’s Mirko Di Natale, Juventus are leading the race for Galeno. They are willing to tender €30M including add-ons, coming fairly close to Porto’s request. Per Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the sellers have set a €40M price tag.

The Brazilian speedster isn’t mutually exclusive with Nico Gonzalez. They play on oppositive wings, and the Old Lady always planned to sign two players.

Instead, Karim Adeyemi had grown progressively more distant in recent weeks due to Borussia Dortmund’s firm stance. He removed himself from the market in an interview with Bild (via Calciomercato).

“I’m solely focused on this team like before the buzz started. I’m happy and want to stay. My journey here isn’t over yet. I already had clear ideas before the Champions League final. I’m very comfortable here and perceive the trust of the fans, the coach, the management, and my teammates. I love playing in this great stadium and its atmosphere. Some rumors aren’t true. I’ve always been on good terms with Nuri Sahin. He’s a very young coach but is already good. We have had nice conversations from the start. There’s mutual trust.”

Our Take on Juventus and Galeno

Adding at least one pacey attacker is a must, preferably two, but it’ll hinge on their costs. If they just have one bullet in the chamber, it should be for a right winger.
