Juventus Actively Seeking Suitors For Out-Of-Favor Midfielder

Juventus are desperate to offload unsettled midfielder Arthur Melo in the January transfer window after failing to cut him loose in the summer. According to Il Bianconero, sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli hopes to find the Brazilian flop a new accommodation this winter to make room for new arrivals.
Melo spent last season on loan at Fiorentina. Despite faring relatively well at Stadio Artemio Franchi, he couldn’t land a permanent contract, resulting in his summer return to Juventus. However, new manager Thiago Motta has no intention of including the former Barcelona playmaker in his first-team squad this season.
As a result, Juventus are keen to get rid of Arthur. Three clubs have shown interest in the 28-year-old, whose career in Serie A has never reached the promised heights. Fiorentina, Olympique Marseille, and Everton are reportedly considering a winter swoop for the diminutive midfielder.
Since Arthur’s contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in 2026, Juventus are eager to find a suitor as soon as possible. Motta wants all fringe players sold so he can focus on rebuilding the Bianconeri from scratch after replacing Massimiliano Allegri at the helm.
Indeed, Arthur isn’t the only player who could leave Juventus in the upcoming transfer session. With Giuntoli searching for a reliable alternative for Dusan Vlahovic, Arkadiusz Milik could form part of the outgoing contingent.
Despite joining Juventus in the summer, Douglas Luiz quickly found himself at Motta’s mercy. The Brazilian’s questionable fitness condition has seen him struggle to gain minutes in Serie A this season.
