Alexis Sanchez Set to Depart Inter Again in the Summer

Alexis Sanchez will be the one making room for Mehdi Taremi in the Inter attack. The Nerazzurri won’t have a supersized attack next season, as director Piero Ausilio stated, so it’ll be one in and one out. The Chilean veteran pays the price for his contractual situation since he signed a one-year deal last summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the striker won’t re-up and will be available on the free. He’ll eye perhaps the final chapter of his career. He hinted at it in his speech during his Scudetto celebrations.

“I’ve won many things in my career, but this Scudetto is special. It’s the second star. I’ve seen these kids grow. Thanks to everybody and good luck.”

Alexis Sanchez won’t be the only one to depart Inter at the expiration of his contract. Stefano Sensi will do the same after yet another injury-riddled campaign and almost non-existent playing time. He was on the verge of moving to Leicester City in January but the deal collapsed.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal striker has been quickly linked to Lazio due to his great season under Igor Tudor at Olympique Marseille. However, their director Angelo Fabiani stated they wouldn’t target old players to Il Messaggero (via Fantacalcio).

Our Take on Inter, Alexis Sanchez, and Lazio

He still has something left in the tank and wouldn’t be the worst flier for teams needing a super sub. Chances are the Nerazzurri will also attempt to offload Marko Arnautovic to add a stud.
