Milan are operating on multiple tables, but their search for a new no.10 has not yet kicked into high gear. According to some Russian outlets, they inquired about Nikola Vlasic. However, CSKA Moscow have put a €30M price tag on the talented midfielder. The sum could scare away the Rossoneri, who would prefer doing the deal on loan, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Vlasic was named the best player of the Russian League last season. He scored once in the Euro with Croatia, against Scotland. The 23-year-old attacker joined from Everton for €15.7M in 2019. Afterward, he has notched 33 goals and 30 assists in 103 matches with CSKA. Milan like his traits and believe he would be suitable for the role. However, the two sides are too far apart on the terms of the potential transfer that and the negotiation is not really ongoing, the Italian newspaper adds.
The Rossoneri are likely to finalize a couple of transfers in the upcoming days. Olivier Giroud should land in Italy by the end of the week to take the medicals. Chelsea are examining and insisting on every detail of the transfer, which has delayed the timetable. Although, there is optimism everything will be settled shortly.
Fodé Ballo-Touré has quickly become the clear front-runner to back up Theo Hernandez. Milan and Monaco are €2M apart on his price tag, but the momentum is favorable in this case too. The player is pushing to move the Italian club, where he would reunite with Mike Maignan. The two spent two seasons together at Lille and built a strong bond.
