Inter Three Games Away from Matching Draw-Less Serie A Record

The 2022/23 Serie A season has gotten off to a remarkable start, as teams such as Lazio, Atalanta and Udinese have succeeded so far in thwarting the big guns from their respective places at the top of the league table.

The most astonishing drops have been experienced by Derby d’Italia rivals Inter and Juventus, with both the eternal rivals neighboring one another in 7th and 8th place respectively – just two points separating them inside the top ten.

However, what’s more interesting is the fact that the Nerazzurri have not drawn a single match this campaign In 11 games – winning 7 and losing 4.

They have now gone 20 matches without drawing in Serie A, and are one match away from matching Lazio’s 21-game run set between January and May 2021. Coincidentally, Simone Inzaghi was the Biancocelesti’s coach back then, after which he joined the Nerazzurri.

If Inter hold out for three more games, they will register themselves as the team with longest streak without experiencing a draw, overtaking a 23-game record set back in the 1940’s.
