Lazio Launch Assault to Sign Hellas Verona Duo

Negotiations between Lazio and Hellas Verona for dynamic duo Tijjani Noslin and Juan Cabal have reportedly hit a standstill. According to Italian journalist Alberto Abbate (via LazioNews24), the parties are still at odds regarding the pair’s total price tag.

While fighting Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce for the signature of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic, Lazio are working on other deals to strengthen Marco Baroni’s squad. Noslin and Cabal are Baroni’s former associates, as they worked together at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi last term.

With that in mind, it’s barely surprising Lazio are targeting the Verona tandem. However, the Gialloblu’s demands have thrown a spanner in the works. They’ve set a €25m asking price for their growing stars and are sticking to their guns. Meanwhile, Lazio are unwilling to go beyond €20m.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has already put a tangible offer forward. But despite being rebuffed by his Verona counterpart, Maurizio Setti, he’s still confident of fulfilling Baroni’s wish, considering his solid rapport with Setti. As such, negotiations should continue in good faith.

Noslin arrived in Serie A in January 2024 and quickly took the league by storm, tallying five goals and four assists in 17 appearances. His versatility allows him to play anywhere along the frontline, and Lazio could use it to replace the departed Felipe Anderson.

As for Cabal, he’s an exciting left-back prospect. Lazio struggled in this position last term, with Adam Marusic and Elseid Hysaj spending most of the campaign operating as makeshift left-backs.
