Marseille and MLS and Saudi Teams Eyeing Up Pogba

Paul Pogba will return on the pitch in early 2025 after getting his sentence reduced, but he’s highly unlikely to do it with the Juventus colors. After the appeal, the Bianconeri have quickly opened talks to rescind his contract

According to TuttoSport, while that may take a while, there’s little hope for a U-turn. The Old Lady wants to wipe his salary off their balance sheets before it’ll grow back to what it used to be before his suspension. He has been paid a minimum salary during it. Thiago Motta and Cristiano Giuntoli remarked that the midfielder hadn’t played in a long time when asked about him as of late.

Teams are already lining up to sign Pogba on a free afterward. The MLS and Olympique Marseille are the frontrunners for now. Roberto De Zerbi has been instrumental in completing a few high-profile additions last summer already.

The star resides in Miami, and playing in the United States would be a natural next step for him. Per Tuttomercatoweb, the Los Angeles FC have already started to poke around ahead of a potential pursuit. A move to Saudi Arabia, like a few other Muslim players have done, is also an option but not the most likely one at this stage.

Our Take on Pogba

It looks like the decision has been made already, and it’d likely take months for him to be in good enough shape for Thiago Motta to field him, but keeping him until the end of the season and handing him a couple of appearances would have a high sentimental impact and wouldn’t bankrupt them.
