Andrea Belotti Closes in on Torino Contract Renewal

Torino forward Andrea Belotti is one step closer to accepting a contract renewal offer from the Granata. According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio (via todofichajes), significant progress has been made in recent days between the player and the club.

The Azzurri striker reportedly has problems with the release clause set in his terms. Belotti wants a release clause in the region of €25-30m and no more than €40m, which is what Torino are hoping to come to agreement with. His wishes will make the Granata striker relatively more affordable.

Additionally, an increase in yearly wages amounting to €3.3m is also in contention for him. A three year contract deal is said to be in talks, lasting upto June 2025.

Torino have to make a choice fast – of either selling him to cash in on his services or risk losing him for free next season when his contract expires. His current market value stands at €35m, according to transfermarkt.

The striker has seen his demand rise after EURO 2020, with clubs such as Inter, Arsenal, Roma and Atalanta being linked.
