Cambiaso Voices Loyalty Toward Juventus, Thanks Allegri

Andrea Cambiaso intends to set roots at Juventus after a solid first season. The fullback spoke to the press during a commercial event in Milan (via Calciomercato).

“Our goal has always been to qualify for the Champions League. The Scudetto was a dream. We’re focused on our main objective and must reach it at any cost as quickly as possible. I don’t know what we lacked. Probably, we couldn’t handle the negative situation well due to inexperience.”

Cambiaso examined his campaign and future.

“I’m very happy and know I have ample room for improvement. I must keep working as I am now. Juventus is an arrival point, and I’m great here.”

The defender weighed in on the rumors about Massimiliano Allegri.

“We’re not affected by those too much since we’re concentrated on the matches. He has been very important to me since he trusted me right away. I’m very thankful. I’m happy to be coached by him.”

Cambiaso has good chances to make the Italy squad for Euro 2024.

“The debut with the Azzurri made me proud but didn’t change me. Being called up is a major personal objective. Everything hinges on how I’ll play with Juventus.”

Our Take on Cambiaso

His season couldn’t have gone any better, as it’s rare for newcomers to win over Allegri immediately. For instance, Timothy Weah still hasn’t. Moreover, he’s well familiar with Thiago Motta and flourished in a particular role under him.
