De Ketelaere Under Scrutiny by Media After Lackadaisical Display

Following Milan’s scoreless draw to Cremonese, Belgian prospect Charles De Ketelaere was heavily under scrutiny by the Italian media after a lackadaisical display.

After being dropped by Pioli, as he was in favour of Spaniard Brahim Diaz for the trequartisa role, Rossoneri boss deployed the 21 year-old in the 74th minute. However, the 30M euro signing was uninspiring and banal.

The Belgian completed the match with passing accuracy of 66%. In addition, the supposedly rising star lost possesion three times within the middle of the park and failed to win a single ground duel.

Following the match, La Gazzetta dello Sport underlined the following about De Ketelare’s sterile evening: “The vote is no longer heavy because it only plays for 20 minutes. Of course, it creates nothing and makes everything possible wrong.”

Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport summed up his performance as “impalpable”. Also, Tuttosport described the Belgian as “disoriented” when on the pitch for Milan. Moreover, Corriere della Sera stated the following: “5 consecutive benches and all deserved”.

Furthermore MilanNews claimed the following after the match: “He confirms his bad moment with another anonymous and worrying piece. He too must wake up”.

Finally Tuttomercatoweb provided their insight as they mentioned: “He is remembered because he stumbles in the area and because he gets a fair warning for a clumsy slide. Entry into the field is nothing short of negative.”
