Former Palermo Director Warns Juventus in Dybala Renewal Saga

Paulo Dybala’s contract renewal talks at Juventus seems like a never-ending saga as the attacker has still not penned an extension deal with the Bianconeri. Dybala is one of Juventus’ top earners, pocketing in a whopping €7.3m net per season.

The Bianconeri management had reportedly offered La Joya a contract worth €10m, including add-ons, but it is highly doubtful that the offer still stands since negotiations between the two parties has not progressed.

Former Palermo CEO and sporting director Rino Foschi has warned Juventus that letting Dybala leave can prove to be harmful in the long run and that the Argentine playmaker deserves trust from the Juventus management.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TUTTOmercatoweb), Foschi commented: “Dybala? Juve (will) make a mistake in letting him go. As an attacking midfielder, he is still among the best in Europe. He had some physical problems, but he will recover. He deserves trust. We must not look too much at money in these cases.”

Dybala has suffered by constant injuries and fitness problems in recent seasons, although he has constantly appeared for the Bianconeri in 2021/22 – registering 9 goals and providing 4 assists in 19 appearances in approximately 1,300 minutes of game time.

Dybala moved to Juventus from Palermo for a transfer fee of €41m in 2015. The creative attacker has scored an impressive 109 goals in 273 appearances for the Old Lady in his seven seasons at the Allianz Stadium so far.
